A whole new world, a fancy place I never knew… A whole new world, a new horizon to pursue. . . an excerpt from a song that probably what the new Regional Director perceives. The turn over ceremony which was held on March 19, 2012 at Montanier Hall was most likely an event where people have mixed emotions, sad and excited. Sad, for the reason that Director Dumama already had to say goodbye to CHD12, excited because a new Regional Director will take over.
The program started with the Doxology, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the DOH Hymn.
Guests, Partners, and CHD Officers and Staff were acknowledged by the Chief Administrative Officer Ms. Leda C. Tejam. The event was well
attended with people coming from partner agencies and hospitals in the provinces and municipalities under SOCCSKSARGEN Region, attached agencies, media, family members of the incoming and outgoing Directors and many others who became a part of CHD 12. A welcome address was given by the OIC-LHSD Dr. Francisco V. Mateo. An intermission song number was rendered by Ms. Mayka Lintongan.

The symbolic turn-over was made by the two Directors, the big key carried by Outgoing Director Dr. Dumama was handed over to the incoming Director Dr. Marlyn W. Convocar, which simply symbolizes that it’s Dr. Convocar’s turn to lead the DOH-CHD12. It was a scene that made everybody stand and applaud.
Ms. Adelaida S. Basera, Planning Officer III, presented the Regional Profile. Everybody listened especially Dr. Convocar being the new Regional Director.
Dr. Abdullah B. Dumama, Jr., gave his turn-over speech, followed by the acceptance speech by Dr. Marlyn W. Convocar.
